Heart of the West (1936)

Heart of the West is a 1936 American Western film directed by Howard Bretherton and written by Doris Schroeder. The film stars William BoydJames EllisonGeorge “Gabby” HayesSidney Blackmer, Lynn Gabriel, Fred Kohler and Warner Richmond. The film was released on July 24, 1936, by Paramount Pictures.

Ranch owner Jim Jordan is engaged in a fence war with rancher Big John Trumbull, who is actually a rustler. Hoppy (William Boyd) and Johnny (James Ellison), along with trusty sidekick Windy (George “Gabby” Hayes), side with Jim Jordan. They control a huge cattle stampede by using dynamite.
